VZLR Remains Involved

Feb 13, 2016 | VZLR Cares

We all know that the December holidays can be tough on your finances and usually leave you digging deep into your own pockets. We at VZLR do our best to contribute towards the community where we can.

During December 2014, VZLR made a charitable contribution towards the Gerald Fitzpatrick House & Nursing Home. Many of the residents at the Nursing Home no longer have family with whom they can celebrate the festive season. The Staff of the Nursing home do their utmost to make the festive season special to the residents. VZLR had the opportunity to reach out and contribute towards making the Christmas Party a merry event.

During January 2015, VZLR donated 10 computers to PEN, a nonprofit organisation situated in the inner city of Pretoria. PEN will be installing these computers at a previously disadvantaged school, located outside the city, as part of their Early Childhood Development Program titled “Reading Eggs”. Reading Eggs is a literacy program aimed at teaching those children who cannot read, have fallen behind or who do not read at grade level, how to read and spell properly and with comprehension.

VZLR, big enough to matter, small enough to care!
